Need of Good Security Guards
We have all seen security guards in the city where we live. Have you ever wondered how it is to be a security guard? Many of us think that is a fairly easy and boring job because all we see them doing is just sitting around or patrolling the premises either commercial or residential. But that’s not just about it. It is a lot more than what meets the eye.
To begin with it is a very tedious job and yet a very responsible one as protection against criminals and criminal activities is of top-most priority. It is these security guards, whom we often treat as lesser humans, are the one’s who make sure that the premises is free of any trouble what so ever and is safe.
Now such a daily routine would call for some skills that are a mandate to be present in a security guard. Of these the most important would be the power of observation, recollection, evaluation and quick thinking to find the best possible action plan and then implement it right away. This is very important because it all happens to happen so quickly.
Apart from this there are certain technical skills that are needed based on the type of roll one plays as a security guard. For example, when we go to a bank we do see an armed security guard. But do you think just carrying a weapon is good enough to scare criminals? I don’t think so; hence these guards must be knowledgeable about the weapon they are carrying. They just not only need to know how to use it but also to take care of it as the weapon only listens to the one who holds it. These guards for sure need to undergo a lot of training and have to acquire necessary permits.
Another breed of security guards that we often come across on a daily basis is a genre of security guards patrolling railway stations and such places during festive season as that is the time when such places are really crowded and a large crowd could provide excellent cover to indulge in criminal activities. These security guards have the right to stop, check or question any one. But they certainly can’t just do that with everyone. These guards are ultimate evaluators of body language and use that skill to single out any one from the crowd.
